Dungeon Master Desk

Run your tabletop
campaign from one screen.

Dungeon Master Desk keeps your notes, NPCs, maps, encounters, world calendar, and rules reference in one place, saved to your account and available on every device you use.

Built for TTRPGS, with native support for D&D 5e & 5.5e (2024)

Free, runs in the browser, saves automatically. An account just means your work follows you between devices.

What's inside

I've collated and rebuilt every tool I've created, or use, into one place. All the systems connect, but it's built to work with just what you need as well. I hope you find some use, like I have, in being able to run my games from a single tab.

Campaign Notebooks

Notes, locations, and NPCs in freely nesting trees. Type [[Page Name]] to cross-link pages, and turn on Markdown for a rendered read view.

Combat Tracker

Initiative, hit points, and conditions round by round, with monster stat blocks expanding inline. Handles 2014 or 2024 surprise rules.

Encounter Builder

XP budgets from your party's levels, difficulty at a glance, and 327 SRD monsters plus your own. Save encounters and send them straight to the tracker.

Maps & Dungeons

Upload region maps and pin locations onto them, or paint dungeons on a grid with wandering monsters that patrol, hunt, flee, and guard.

World Calendar

Your own months, moons, and seasons, with weather and the in-game date always visible. A ten-minute dungeon-turn clock sits alongside.

Family Trees & Timeline

Chart who married, murdered, and inherited on a pannable canvas, and keep your world's history in order on a timeline.

Rules Reference

339 SRD spells, 661 priced items, the full SRD bestiary, and a searchable 5e rules quick-ref. Lookups without leaving the desk.

Players & Dice

Your party's AC, passive perception, HP, and reminders in a tray on every screen, with a dice roller beside it.

Saves & Backups

Auto-save to your account on every change, full export and import, optional local version history, and a 30-day trash for anything you delete.

Shared View

Send selected text, maps, handouts, and a player-safe initiative order to a live link. Players can open it on a TV or phone without an account.

...and more

A dice tray, name and loot generators, a dungeon-turn clock, global search, colour themes. There are more tabs and tools than fit on a card, and it's always expanding.

I hope you find it useful - and a disclaimer

It's all free and I've kept all ads and premium options out of the picture. There's no analytics or tracking bullshit. Your data is yours: private, deleted with your account, and you're welcome to export a full backup from Settings at any point. Here's the privacy policy, it's short.

If anything breaks, or you can think of a feature, please use the feedback button! It goes straight to me :). I've built the whole tool over months with help from Claude Code, a little sheepishly (as every software engineer is these days), just an FYI.

Thanks!
Oly.
