Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Dungeon Master Desk ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them.

The Service

Dungeon Master Desk is a browser-based toolkit for tabletop game masters: campaign notes, characters, encounters, maps, calendars, and related tools, saved to your account. The Service is currently provided free of charge. Features may change, be added, or be removed over time.

Your account

• You are responsible for the security of your account credentials.
• One person per account. You must provide a valid email address.
• You may delete your account at any time from the account panel inside the app.

Your content

• Everything you create in the Service remains yours. We claim no ownership of your campaigns, notes, or uploads.
• You grant us only the technical licence needed to store and display your content back to you (that's what "saving to the cloud" is).
• You are responsible for keeping your own backups. The app's Settings tab provides one-click export; we strongly encourage regular exports of campaigns you care about.

Acceptable use

• Don't use the Service to store or distribute unlawful content.
• Don't attempt to disrupt the Service, probe its infrastructure, or access other users' data.
• Don't use automated tools to place unreasonable load on the Service.

Availability and warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that data will never be lost — please keep exports of important campaigns. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you have paid for it (currently: nothing).

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and will make reasonable efforts to let you export your data first unless the violation prevents it.

Third-party content

The Service includes material from the System Reference Document 5.1 by Wizards of the Coast LLC, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. Dungeon Master Desk is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored by, or approved by Wizards of the Coast LLC.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially we will note it on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
